Formerly known as Krasnoyarsk-26, Zheleznogorsk is a closed town with a developed nuclear industry in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. The town was established in 1950 for the production of weapons-grade plutonium and did not appear on any official maps until 1992. The flag depicts a golden bear splitting open an atomic nucleus.
